I'll post my experiences and what I know and then others can add to it ...
At my table, we started with Lords of Waterdeep which three of us have played before but is still relatively new to us, and two new players. The result was very exciting with Matt beating James by one point - not much when both scores were just over the hundred mark. Dave and I and Valerie trailed some way behind, but Dave had a tricky decision late in when it looked like he might be "kingmaker", and did have his shot at winning too. As it turned out, he did target the eventual king with a mandatory quest .... so maybe it was fair enough in the end.
Having strained our brains a bit with that one, something lighter after lunch.
I moved over and played Trans Europa, which was won fairly quickly by Dave (I think). Followed with Yeti Slalom, new to all of us and I shared the winner's podium with the massive score of four points (only four snowboarders finished the course - damn those yetis are good!). While we were playing these, there was a game of Machi Koro at the other nook table, which Matt will report on. Outside there was a Formula D race. I can't remember exactly who was playing but Laura wasn't doing well having made an early mistake. She will tell us the players and winner? And there was also Mach Koro Millionaire and a two-player Splendor.
Then a 6-player Darkmoon started, but Matt Val and I played Splendor (damn these US spellings, the spell-checker doesn't like it). As the only player to have played before, I was gratified to show how it was done ... but read on ... Val left at that point leaving Matt and I to play two-player - and Matt won easily. Which demanded a rematch, which I won somewhat to both our surprises; I thought I was making 14 but it did add up to 15 when I checked! And we were the going to play Jaipur but we didn't have time. The Darkmoon just about got finished, I gather.
Over to someone else ....
